Martellus Bennett, infamous Cowboy, keeps on talking

Marty B is the media's new favorite celebrity in Dallas-Fort Worth. He's always bound to say something politically incorrect, far-fetched, and usually funny. Everyone's talking about him.

Way back in July 2008, we had Cowboys announcer Brad Sham telling us Marty B was going to be "another guy worth watching." In the football game, that is. Then this happens: Martellus had a video removed from YouTube, and six months later schooled us on the "Black Olympics."

Then he gets an invitation from FrontBurner to be a guest blogger. His first post appeared on their page today (Sunday, August 23), and strangely -- probably, both for me and the D crew -- Marty B is straying from his usual oneliners to just plain weirdo comments. In this post , he tells us alien is his first language, English his second. I would've rather heard more about how he's the Michael Phelps of eating chicken.

Same day, NBCDFW has a short clip from Marty B about how he's "much sexier in real life." That's more our speed, but it still doesn't have the zing that it used to. Are we getting tired of our favorite funny guy?

(Disclaimer: There is a certain someone in my household who is a Texas A&M grad and regularly overdoses on all things Aggie. Martellus was a former A&M star. I was made to watch "Money B" long before most people were talking about him, and a photo of Martellus catching a touchdown pass sits on the end table. Martellus will forever be invited into our home.)

Martellus,....he is entertaining. The new "Hollywood Henderson" or another "T.O." or even a "Harvey Martin", great for sound bite tv interviews!
