Kenny Rogers to DFW media: screw you

From today's San Francisco Chronicle:
"Former Ranger Kenny Rogers and Tigers PR man Brian Britten told an MLB official not to allow any reporters from the Arlington area to ask questions during a (Game 2) pregame news conference -- a reporter from the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram who raised a hand was ignored. 'We'll talk to (Rogers),' MLB spokesman Pat Courtney said. 'We ask players to cooperate with the media. In the end, it's their choice if they want to speak or not.' Rogers spoke glowingly about the Tigers, staying clear of his time with the Rangers and his suspension for assaulting a Dallas TV cameraman."
In order to dismantle all this tension, the genial Kenny Rogers should be the gruff Kenny Rogers spokesman at all World Series news conferences.

JaysonBales, says:
What is wrong with that guy? He made a mistake, not the Arlington media.

Indeed. And it stinks he and the Rangers ended up like they did.
