TV Turnoff

Posted By Mike Orren in The One That's Not About Music on April 24, 2006

According to a bunch of communists and hippies it is officially "TV Turnoff Week."

Hey -- it's a free country. But you'll pry my remote from my cold, dead hands.

I do find some irony that they advertised it with TV spots.

Here's betting that more than 2/3 of the participants watch online video during the course of the week. Does that count as breaking the fast?

I also assume that there is some kind of amnesty for the Mavs game, right?

I used to have to endure this week back when my kiddies were in elementary and middle school. Horrible horrible weeks they were - now my tube is on 24/7...and my brain is quite mushy.

I have a friend who is not a Коммунистического and who will remain nameless who has not watched TV for 9 years, starting with this turn off TV week. I will not go into details, but I have told him: "Mr. X, this is stupid."
