While you wait for the full video later today, stream of consciousness notes:
Maybe a couple hundred people...
Indictment of local media (and perhaps validation for a hyperlocal news service) from a local club owner Peter Tarantino:
"If there's a knifing on main street at 4:00 in the morning, it's all over the news and if there's a double homicide on Arapaho, no one knows about it."
...
So much talk about these darn kids being the cause of everything from crime, to traffic to cancer to hangnails. He means well, but Chief Kunkle is coming off like the police chief character who wasn't in Reefer Madness, but should have been...
Aden Holt is one row over, I wonder what he thinks of that?
Why are we talking about gridlock? Am I missing something? Is THAT the problem?...
While various folks shout their way into the conversation, one poor guy beside me has quietly had his hand up for an hour. He looks tired...
Words I'm sick of hearing: "stakeholders"...
Good on Laura-- Smacks down Club Blue owner for being all mouthy when his club is (according to her) a the major contributor to downtown crime.
Bad on Laura-- Lets it get the meeting off topic...

Meeting winds down, taken over by murmuring. Medrano bitches that no one shows up for town hall meetings. Crowd: No one knows about them. M: We send out mailers. (Another place for hyperlocal news...)

Gregory, says:
