Need a reporter — Deep Ellum Association
Posted By Mike Orren in The One That's Not About Music on June 1, 2006
Anyone out there want to cover the Deep Ellum Association meeting for us? We know that all things DE are hot with the readers of the site. All you have to do is go, report back, and try not to be the least bit objective.
Details below. Let Alan know if you can do it. (And Pegasus staff are eligible too, if they have time.)

Another thing...
If you are a burgler, or someone who robs people by pretending to have a gun in your pocket (when it's really your finger), go to this meeting!
I need some irony with my newspaper.

Oh wait... in my want to be funny, I forgot to read the whole thing. Deep Ellum Wide Valet? What? Um... no thank you. When I was in college, I knew guys that did valet, and I will not be trusting my car to a guy, just because he has a white polo shirt on.
What they need to do is take the guys who charge $10 to park in a crappy lot, and break their fingers, one by one, until they lower their prices.
Its the only way.

I wish I were better at writing.
I would. But whatever I write would probably suck
I'm good in spurts.

Frank, that makes you the ideal correspondent. (I said NO objectivity.) We always want to know what you think! (Even if you do like the new Cars.)

As a non-official Deep Ellum correspondent I would strongly suggest any / everybody plan on having a hungover Wednesday this week! Tuesday night is gonna be over the top at Kettle Art.
Opening Tuesday, June 6th, 2006 6:00 - 10:00 pm
SIX x SIX
*Six Curators choose Six Artists each, to create six 6 x 6 inch pieces apiece!
A total of 216 equally sized works equally priced at $66.00...*
If that's not enough, to insure your tardiness on Wednesday morning, the Six x Six afterparty at Dada will feature SPECTOR 45 and the Lashouts!
btw - Always hated the Cars, boring as can be in concert. The Police dusted them live, and I never really liked them either. Saw them both at their peak a few weeks apart in the eighties. The New Cars w/ Todd as a frontman is just a major improvement on a very dull band.

I'll agree with you on The Police. I've got that double-live disc they put out. The pre-Synchronicity disc is one of my fave live ones (and I'm not that big a Police fan.) But the latter one is un-freakin-listenable.
