Which Willie?

So looking at the lineup for the 4th of July Picnic and the pre-party at Carl's Corner, I'm left with one question:
Given the level of crowd; pavement vs grass, etc., why would ANYONE go to the Stockyards on the 4th when you can get virtually the same show at Carl's on the 3rd?
(Hint: I'm one of the world's biggest Kris Kristofferson fans, but I saw him at the picnic two years ago, and I'm heading for Carl's.)
