Longtime readers of my old blog will remember that one of the big turning points in the creation of our business plan was my visit to a meeting of The Ferguson Road Initiative.
Now, it looks like their efforts on behalf of my own hyperlocal neighborhood are beginning to take shape:

Councilman Leo V. Chaney, Jr, and the Ferguson Road Initiative will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting for residents, businesses, faith communities, and schools residing in the Officially Recognition, Department of Justice 2 Points Weed and Seed neighborhoods.
The purpose of this meeting will be to outline the strategy of Operation Weed and Seed, understand how crime is impacting communities in the Buckner/Peavy area, and to learn ways that people can work together to Weed-Out crime and Seed-In positive development and activities.
