We launched a Google map of more than 800 local drink specials last week, as you may remember if you haven't overused same.
On Friday, we got an email from a user:
Gloria's on Greenville does not serve happy hour margaritas on fridays. don't know about the beers and mojitos.
We checked the website and called Glorias -- both verified the special we had was correct.
We told the user and he replied that he had been to Gloria's on a Friday and had been denied.
Although most media outlets would have stopped there, that's a problem that we think requires further investigation. We dropped everything and dispatched not one, not two, but our entire team to investigate.
After repeated verifications -- at least three by each staffer in attendance -- we confirmed that the happy hour is, indeed, accurately advertised.
If you find other pieces of conflicting data, we'll be happy to follow up for you. That's just how we roll.

Uuuuh... Some dude-bro told me that The Elbow Room didn't really have $1 Pabst Blue Ribbons during their Monday happy hour. I know for a fact that they do - but we still might need to cut out of work early again tomorrow and investigate, dontcha think?
