Low Fidelity

Look up irony in the dictionary, and you'll probably find something about the movie and book most kind to indie-music rock snobs being turned into a Broadway musical with lousy pop songs. I just listened to them. They're terrible. Not because pop is terrible. I love pop. But this is painful.
Via Stereogum. Don't miss the cluelessness of the lead actor.

wow, those songs are so bad I really shuddered. Thanks Broadway!

No wonder Hornby's latest novel is about some folks who meet while attempting to commit suicide. They probably heard about this musical and decided there was no reason to go on.
