Based on Chad's visit to Stone Horse, a conversation has started in the office about the phenomenon of cooking Kobe steak on a rock.
Blair is very intrigued. In fact, he just said that he is generally fascinated by Kobe beef happenings.
Gary seems to be the authority on restaurants that cook steak with rocks. He is ridiculing us for our lack of "beef on a rock" knowledge. Yet, even he cannot give an origin for these culinary tactics.
I just don't get the whole cooking on a rock thing.

not sure about its actual "culinary roots" (zzzz) but Nobu started the trend (and now everybody has to copy). personally, i put it right up there with fondue. that is not a compliment
