Who the hell isn’t running for Dallas mayor?

Saw this on Frontburner: "Okay, so now Mitch Rasansky is saying he's not running for mayor, even though I still hear that he is. Politics is/are confusing."
Amen to that. So this would make it, like, 5,049 people running for Dallas mayor now, huh? Or something like that? I am as confused - perhaps even more confused - than Adam McGill at D Magazine.
If you live in Dallas and are not running for mayor, then as I see it, you have a problem. Here is my mayoral candidate count:
Rob Allyn, maybe?
Bill Blaydes
John Cappello
Zac Crain
Elba Garcia, maybe?
Gary Griffith
Rogelio “Roger” Herrera. (I wish I had a nickname I could put in quotes.)
Don Hill, maybe?
Darrell Jordan
Tom Leppert
Veletta Forsythe Lill (Wish I had three names. Hell, wish I had five names.)
Ed Oakley, maybe
Edward Okpa
Phil Ritter
Max Wells
You?
No, that doesn't add up to 5,049 people. But the other 5,033 are lurking and ready to pounce like a mamba snake and/or civic-minded cheeseburger.

Can I run for Dallas Mayor? I am in Mesquite but was born and raised in Dallas. Doesn't that give me citizenship?

Let me help you out on this one...
Rob Allyn - not in...he's a consultant for Leppert.
Phil Ritter, Blaydes - not in. Elba Garcia - very low chance Don Hill - will be in Oakley - in
Don't discount me being in the mayor's race after this one.

to clarify the above due to my lack of posting skills
Don Hill will be in. Oakley is in. Elba -very low chance....
I think Rasansky dropped because he's 70+, rich as hell (dude owns a ton a major real estate and reportedly has like 10 cars in his house), and probably doesn't want the aggravation. Plus he'll win his district in a walk.

It took me a while to find this so I'll save you the time - if you want to know. The list of those actually registered to run for mayor can be found on the city hall web site at: http://www.ci.dallas.tx.us/cso/pdf/ca...

Told y'all Hill was in. So is a guy named Larry Duncan. He was a City Councilman in the early to mid 90s.

Exactly. The Birds look like geniuses now, (signing a QB just to handle FG holds) in light of what happened to the 'boys.
On the political side, I don't want to peak too soon in terms of what I'm trying to do. I'm working with a couple of campaigns already. If I run someday, my homies at Pegasus will be among the first to know.
Go Eagles!
