You may have noticed our new, less-ugly weather bug on the right side of the homepage and neighborhood pages and our new video forecast on the homepage, courtesy of AccuWeather. (We had been using Weather Underground.)
Yeah, these weather people are probably in a bluescreen studio somewhere in Pennsylvania, but they do a decent job of localizing the forecast, even to the point of being aware of what events (like the Rodeo) are going on in town.
And, while checking on a technical glitch, I discovered something that made them seem even more human. They do a monthly blooper reel:
I love the way the one girl's giggle approximates the high note in "Loving You."
Look out local weatherfolk -- In coming weeks we're going to track your accuracy against these Pennsylvanians. You'll need to bring your A-game. Or polish up your blooper reel.
