Prison Breakers brake for Fair Park lagoon
Posted By John Meyer in Square Pegs on February 27, 2007
It was interesting watching last night's episode of Prison Break and catching glimpses of the lagoon out in front of Fair Park's Museum of Natural History, which was supposed to be somewhere in Chicago for purposes of the dramatic narrative.
The editors intercut shots of high-rise buildings which were clearly actually Chicagoan with shots of the Breakers Boys standing by the lagoon looking up at them. Or, more correctly, pretending to look up at them. Which is another way of saying they were ACTING!, and doing a damn fine and convincing job of it.
I was alerted to the fact that I should peel my eyes when Michael Scofield mentioned to the lawyer dude they were going to meet and hand over the incriminating tape to (well, not a tape, really, more like a flash memory dongle-thingy, but they kept calling it a tape) that he should wear a blue suit and a red tie and stand in front of the bronze mammoth. BRONZE MAMMOTH?!?, I thought: hey, I remember seeing one of those.

Chris Curotolo, says:
I can't find a picture right now, but another show/movie that drives me crazy is RoboCop. It's supposed to take place in future Detroit but it's clearly Dallas.
