A giant tornado is headed for downtown Dallas

Posted By Alan Cohen in Square Pegs on July 18, 2007

Someone clearly spent a great deal of time putting this scenario together, so I figured we should at least post it. Apparently if a giant tornado hit downtown Dallas, it would result in 1,000 deaths, 15,000 injured, 30,000 destroyed buildings, 40,000 homeless, and roughly 5,000,000 in damages...and it would look like this:

Point being, don't antagonize the tornadoes.

Personally, I think the music choice is top notch. It really gets you in the tornado mood. And I bet that's what the Dallas tornado would sound like, since we're cool and better than everyone.

I'll have a fabulous view when this happens from my 23rd floor patio.

Living and dying in the CBD.

Good Times.

I can't let this pass without a reference to one of my favorite WKRP in Cincinnati episodes:

from http://zvbxrpl.blogspot.com/2006_03_2...

(During a tornado, the only emergency warning Les can find is about an impending Russian invasion, so he substitutes the word "tornado" for "Russian")

LES: The city of Cincinnati has just been attacked by the godless... tornadoes! Citizens are advised to arm themselves immediately! If you see a tornado in your area, please call 555-WKRP to keep us appraised of any enemy tornado movements.

Finally, the Cotton Bowl gets a good thorough cleaning. Don't worry, Chuck Norris will save us. That's definitely "Lone Wolf McQuaid" quality music.
