I wore my Dallas Cowboys t-shirt today. It is a nice shirt. It has a star on it.
At the Albertson's neighborhood store, the dude behind the checkout counter saw my shirt and decided it would be the appropriate time to start a conversation. He looked at me and inquired, "Can you believe we got the Superbowl?"
I indeed can believe we got the Superbowl, so I replied, "Yes."
He then retorted, "Man, Arlington is gonna be the new Fort Worth."
I'm not quite sure what that means and yet in that glorious checkout line moment, it made perfect sense. Enjoy the rest of your football-less Sunday.

Well, it's unfortunate, but really, the arts district in Fort Worth is really better than our scene here in Dallas and Arlington pulls in all the tourist BS (hello wax museum). If this was one city, we could almost justify existing.
