Correction to our weekly email: Perry did not have a record number of vetoes in this session
Posted By Mike Orren in Square Pegs on June 8, 2007
Several astute readers have caught my misreading of this Scott Henson story.
In it, Scott said:
"But for the rest, this Governor has used his veto pen more frequently (and insensibly) than any other before him, so there's really no telling on most of it until his final decisions are announced June 17."
I assumed that in the link he was referring to this session, but if you click through, you'll see it is a 2005 reference.
So, I cited it incorrectly in our weekly e-newsletter. My bad. I apologize to the guvner and to his veto pen.

SocraticGadfly, says:
Don't worry, in a week or so we'll see just how bad he can be this time around.
I'll even give you 1-3 odds, if not more, that he vetoes the Trans Texas Corridor "compromise" bill and the Texas Senate winds up looking like a bunch of idiots for not having the conejos to override his veto of the original no-TTC bill.
