Note to Alan: Genesis tour alert

Square Pegs

Published: March 6, 2007

You might get to hear "Mama" done live, if Dallas makes the list of only-13-cities-in-the-US on the Genesis Turn It On Again tour this summer. Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford will announce the dates for the American leg of their tour (their first in 15 years) at a live, online press conference held in NYC on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Dallas time. Set your dial to genesis-music.com (where you can also sign up to be in their fan club snicker, chortle).

Any truth to the rumor that the "Turn It On Again" tour will be sponsored by Cialis?

Ouch, that hurts, Kirk. As I just informed everyone here in the PegasusNews nerve center, I attended a Genesis concert at Armadillo World Hdqtrs. in Austin, 'round about '74 or '75. (Can't remember exactly - surprised?). Peter G., in his "Watcher of the Skies" getup, was frontman at the time. Cool laser show. (personal note: Diane Van Sandt, are you still out there?)

I don't think Kirk was ripping on Genesis. I think he was saying that one of their concerts is like the joy of a 4 hour .... oh nevermind

No, I wasn't ripping on Genesis. Just the irony of the tour's name, giving the advancing ages of the artistes.

The Trains at NorthPark Oh, no! Godzilla got into the Northpark train exhibit! But don't worry, the engineers will have it back up and running in time for your mall visit. And now, BEFORE the big holiday rush, is the best time to see them, before hundreds of drooling children take over the enclosure after Thanksgiving. More info
