It's his first studio album in five years. And did he pick his CD release party to be in Austin? New York? LA? Paris? São Paulo? Jakarta? Kuala Lumpur? Auckland? Glasgow? Tashkent? Aarhus? Addis Ababa? Denver? Baghdad, Iraq? Bagdad, Arizona?

It's Fort Worth, USA, on March 29, which sends me a signal that the bright lights and big city hoo-ha from the past couple years or so hasn't gone to his head.
