Special thanks to a group of citizen journalists in Lancaster for donating our very first billboard ad to us. We greatly appreciate it. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now.

Outstanding! Now if only we could get a pic of Alan's face up there with the caption "Watching LISD spending" . . .

Good one, Chad. How stupid is that DMN billboard?
Congrats folks. That's a good look for you.

It is so encouraging to have a billboard announcing an open forum that runs 24/7 and provides opportunities for healthy public debate and timely exchange of information. For a long time Lancaster has been in need of an outlet that gets all the facts and points of view into the open so that citizens can become better informed to vote responsibly. Apathy is one result of stifled and filtered information. Perhaps this is the beginning of real open government for our city and school. Perhaps it will inspire many more citizens to become involved in government that affects their lives and their children's education. Thank you, Pegasus.

Gregory:
Mr Warren was serving a school in Plano but not for the PISD. He helped with the parochial high School John Paul II HS (http://www.johnpauliihs.org) from retirement at LISD in February of 2005 thru at least December 8, 2005. He held title of CFO, Chief Financial Officer, for JPIIHS during his work there. The current officer, Leonard A Robertson, holds instead the title of VICE PRESIDENT of Finance and Administration.
For whatever that's worth.
Ted C Warren has a B.B.A.
Mr Warren was voted in as a life member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials after his LISD retirement.
See http://www.tasbo.org/PDFs/Minutes%20F...
The Lancaster public may have opportunity to meet Mr Warren Monday night, 26 March, at the LISD special session of the Board of Trustees. The Board will be considering Superintendent Lewis's annual evaluation.
