Mr. Owl is a biter
Posted By Alan Cohen in Square Pegs on May 29, 2007
I'd just like to point out that Erin was dead wrong about the "How Many Licks" tootsie roll pop commercial. Just a few minutes ago, she tried to claim that the owl's name was "Professor Owl" but its actually "Mr Owl." Then she tried to claim that Mr. Owl was not a biter, but he clearly is. I have video proof:

Erin Rice, says:
Umm, excuse me Alan Cohen, but just because you tell people that I called Mr. Owl "Professor Owl" does not mean that it actually happened. You are the one who thought you tricked me into "mistakenly" calling him Mr. Owl, saying that his real name was Professor Owl, only to find out that in fact, he was Mr. Owl; just as I had originally referred to him.
You cannot be trusted as a true Tootsie Pop historian, for in the span of 47 seconds, you made two vital errors recalling facts from the commercials. You didn't even know that Mr. Owl's three licks came before the alleged biting incident. I dare say, who are you, sir, to point fingers?
Now on the biting issue. Be it a bite or not, my only point is that Mr. Owl made a decision and stuck to it. If he is willing to go out on a limb and call it three licks, then for goodness sakes, I will go with the decision-maker lest the results are proven faulty.
Just seems in poor taste to attempt to rewrite history as you just have, you scoundrel.
