Shawn Williams on The Politico
Posted By Mike Orren in Square Pegs on October 3, 2007
Our pal and content partner Shawn Williams continues to see a lot of recognition for his work on the Jena 6 matter. Today he's interviewed on The Politico.
And we get a nice mention as he talks about his "biggest dust-up":
Williams has an affiliation with a local news outlet, Pegasus News, where he says most of his dust-ups occur. On his personal blog, he gathers that most of his audience is African-American, but “Pegasus has more of a white audience.”
To be fair, I'd say we have more of a multi-ethnic audience. (We actually index below average for whites; above average for blacks; and way above average for hispanics.) But I see how there's more dissent here with our rowdy crew.
Shawn's reflection on two years of living in Oak Cliff is our lead story today.

Shawn Williams, says:
I do acknowledge that Pegasus is multi-ethnic, but a pure breakdown of the numbers would probably validate the point I was making. At the same time, I'm selling my readers short as well b/c my readership is more diverse that what I lead on in the interview.
And BTW, Pegasus News dust ups make me happy!
