Further examples of how the Interwebs change everything

Somehow we missed covering the suspension of Rebecca Aguilar over at Fox 4. Our content partner, Uncle Barky, has an exclusive interview with her that's well worth reading on many levels.

But here's what really stuck out for me (link mine):

"Every time you Google my name now it's like 'Aguilar, suspension or ambush.' Before it was 'Aguilar, award-winner.' It's changed in a week."

Now Google's algorithm favors recency to a point, so that may subside. But it's one of the tough issues that face internet publishers and publishees in this Brave New World.

And another thing you wouldn't get in a print only world, but the lowered bar broadened scope of the Interwebs allows: The Observer's Partick Williams' pique at Rebecca going to Barky first despite promises to the contrary.
