A “Brave” new contest: Main St. Arts Festival

Square Pegs

Published: April 7, 2008

It's my favorite time of year around these parts: It's Spring festival season, which means lots of opportunities to stand in the not-yet-too-hot sun while enjoying music and malted hops alongside local art and eats.

One of the standouts this and every year is the Main St. Arts Festival in Fort Worth. This year's lineup includes a lot of regional faves; some touring standouts like Son Volt and Dr. John; and some, like Brave Combo, who fit into both categories.

When the folks at the Fest decided to enlist our help in marketing, we told them they needed to give something away to our readers. "But," they said, "admission is free!" To which we responded by pouting like spoiled babies until they came up with something cool.

So, the good folks at the Main St. Arts Festival are giving one lucky reader:

  • A festival T-shirt

  • A 2008 commemorative poster

  • And best of all, two Skybox* tickets to see Brave Combo on Sunday, April 20

The entry process is of the "favoriting contest" flavor. Just tag any day of the Fest as a favorite (requires free, easy, painless, fun registration/login) and you'll get one entry in the drawing for each day you tagged. We'll also throw in an entry for everyone who has favorited Brave Combo. We'll announce a winner on Monday afternoon next week.

  • - Skybox = really cool view plus free food and beverage. Value = priceless.

Ack. Just discovered that my original link on "Just tag any day of the Fest" was wrong. It linked to Brave Combos upcoming shows instead of the fest links.

I've fixed that and will count the entries from them that favorited the BC shows.
