Scavenge the local real estate market

One of my regular New Media reads yesterday pointed me to HotPads, yet another entry in the real estate map mashup derby. One key differentiator is a pretty robust listing of foreclosures on the market.
A look at their DFW view is enough to make me think that we're less immunized against the housing downturn than I'd heard.
