Need good examples of bad local websites

Square Pegs

We're putting on an online marketing seminar Monday and I need a few good bad examples to finish out my preso.

What I'm looking for are examples of really bad local business websites -- Not media sites like ours, but sites for restaurants, retailers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Sins particularly sought are slow loading Flash, popups, impossible to find basic information, heinous audio, etc.

Post links to candidates in the comments. Sites don't need to be DFW-based, but bonus if they are.

(As to the event, we're pretty much fully booked, but could probably squeeze in a couple more folks in a pinch. If you're just hearing about it, email me and we'll see what we can do.)

So http://www.dallasnews.com doesn't count? Cause it's a POS.

Hmm. Lots of suggestions by email-- Guess folks don't want to go on the record. Got all I need. Thanks!

(And since when is that site a Point Of Sale?)

I honestly don't hit that many local sites aside from yours, Miko. Otherwise I'd help out.

And I'm sure you're aware I have no problem going on record. =)

Hope the shindig goes well!

How hard can this be?

Search Google local for Dallas-based businesses. Click on their websites. I bet 4/5 will be garbage.

After all, everyone has that nephew that's real crafty with that there microsoft words.

And yet...you post nothing. Surely with your webbernet 'spuriance you could have tossed something useful into the mix.

Point of sale? I was thinking more along the lines of "piece of sh*t".

I'm relatively confident Miko was being coy.
