Our friends (and advertisers) at the Bass Hall have given us two pair of free tickets to give away for Joe Ely / Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses at Bass Hall on March 5. There's a pre-sale today and tickets go on sale tomorrow.
The first pair have been disposed of, thanks to our new UnContest:
Based on Daily You profile, we've pegged user piltdown70 as our most avid Alt-Country / Americana fan. For that and that alone, he gets a pair of ducats.
Here's how we'll give away the other pair. Registered users (reg is easy and free!) can enter for the drawing twice by marking the show and/or The Bass Hall by clicking the "add to favorites" link on their respective pages. We'll draw from those users on the favorites list as of February 22nd.
And, here's an extra credit game: I've placed videos of performances by both bands on the show page. The Ely video is a gimme, but the first person to post a comment on that page indicating the correct name of the Ryan Bingham song will get an extra 10 entries in the drawing.
And after watching those videos, I think I know what I'm buying myself for Valentine's Day...

Woohoo! First of all, I'd like to thank my God, Shiva. Then my mom (who came back after all these years, once she found out I scored some tickets), my agent Clyde, my sister-in-law Kris (a big Ely fan who will buy me dinner if I give her the second ticket), all the other contestants who gave it their best shot, Obama (keep Hope alive!), the troops in Iraq, and last, but not least, Pegasus News and the Bass Hall for making all of this possible.
