A concert announcement over which I am giddy

No, not this one. That's that guy on that other site
I know I've been posting a lot of promo stuff lately -- contests and specials you're hopefully enjoying. But this one is completely unsponsored and spontaneous (at least insofar as I just learned of it via email):
My favorite new-ish band, The Avett Brothers, are coming to play The Granada on April 30. Their latest disc, Emotionalism was far and away my favorite of 2007. I've been dying to catch one of their live gigs, but I didn't catch on to them until their last tour was over. Hell, if I'd been aware of these Concord, NC natives when I was in a self-imposed exile in the musical wasteland of Charlotte, I might have been less quick on the trigger to run back to Texas. (Really, they're that good.)
If your musical venn diagram includes bluegrass, punk, singer-songwritery folk, Todd Snider, Ben Folds, Matthew Sweet and The Gourds -- you'll want to catch this one too...

Scott Miller says:
My understanding is The Avvett Bros live shows completely blow away anything they've done in the studio. Here's a review from roughly half a 2006 show in Colorado: http://slackercountry.com/avettbrothe...

Mike Orren says:
I think that's so Scott, although IMHO Emotionalism was a huge leap forward for them.
See you there?
