Win before you can buy favoriting contest: John Hiatt / Joan Osborne

Square Pegs

Published: July 30, 2008

This is one where I'm jealous of you, gentle readers. John Hiatt is playing Nokia in September (along with Joan Osborne) and we've got two pair of tickets to give away before they go on sale this Friday.

Hiatt's one of my all-time favorite songwriters, and unlike many aging troubadours of his ilk, he can still rock the house down. And if you think Osborne is only the gal who sang "What if God Was One of Us," then you never saw Standing in the Shadows of Motown.

Old-timers know the deal, but since we have so many new users this week, here's a review:

  • Go to the page for the show

  • Make sure you are logged in (requires free / easy / painless) registration

  • Click the "Add to favorites" button in the tan box on the right of the listing

We'll draw a two winners from among those who favorited for a pair each at 4:00 tomorrow.

Saw John Hiatt a few years back at the Gypsy Tea Room with the North Mississippi All-Stars. They both rocked....a good show. Already have tickets to see him at Nokia.
