We're presenting a gig next week featuring full-sounding pop duo Mates of State (along with Black Joe Lewis and The Headlights) at the Granada next Wednesday. If you like the Polyphonic Spree and wonder how they might sound with fewer people and a female vocalist, you'll be quite pleased.
As presenters, we've got ten pair of tickets to hand out. Just click the "add to favorites" link on the show page (requires free, painless registration) by Monday at 9 AM. Even if we have more than ten entries, your odds in the drawing should be pretty solid.

If I weren't going to El Paso that day, I'd be all over this Miko. Have a great time!

That new Headlights album has some really good tracks (as evidenced by the great Cherry Tulips posted above). I didn't even know Mates of State were still a band.

Mates of state are probably doing better now than they ever have. I've heard songs on ATT commercials, seen videos playing on TV (MTV? .... couldn't have been ... ???).. So they're doing pretty well..

MOS are awesome -- wish we were free for 'free' that evening!
This, IMO, is their best song and most creative video. Like U Crazy
