How Obama might win Texas

Square Pegs

Voting in the Texas Primary closes at 7:00 p.m. tonight across the state, and it'll be many more hours until a winner is declared...

But if Senator Barack Obama were to win, you might thank these snazzy fellows.

Chad... Please go back into 'Menu' and change the subtitles to English. That's the way it's usually done, amigo.

Bill -- obviously aimed at Hispanics, not gringos like me and, presumably, you.

I like this one a little better, just because they rhyme "Como se llama?" with Obama. Genius.

In all seriousness, I wish English-language political ads were this informative.

Why is it that just because I'm Hispanic, politicians speak to me in Spanish? I'm a United States citizen and would like to be spoken in English just like any other citizen. I'm not mentally retarded. Oh and none of that cliche "Si se pede" chants either. I know what "Yes we can" means.

Jevus, it's a public ad - maybe you weren't the target? I don't assume that every ad in English targets me just because I speak the language.

Also, you seem to be implying that people who don't speak English are mentally retarded. Nice.
