Brandon, meet Elizabeth. Liz is kinda cute.
Today's word starts with the letter "G." Let her know how she can come to care about you and your feelings. Put her on the spot.

Those priceless memories that Elizabeth has come with some pretty hefty price tags.

Frank Librio, a public information officer for Dallas City Hall, wrote to clarify that the City of Dallas "has nothing to do with this."
Right. The reference wasn't aimed at the actual governmental entity but more the uh amorphous collective business minds who think this is clever. Either way, the title is now changed. DowntownDallas.org is in fact the brains behind your D-SPOT (ew).

Also, what the hell is "morning grit" and how could it "chase your eyes open"?

Isn't that what happens when bacteria near the d-spot becomes imbalanced?

OOhhhh mmmyyyy ggggaaawwddd! Doyle, wtf?!
We have plenty of grit Downtown but it comes from that concrete plant in Midlothian.
All I know is that I found my D-Spot and it has made all the difference in my life!

Not that I expected anything else, but is DowntownDallas.org and this whole D-spot thing pretty much the most failed campaign ever? I mean, it's not like that organization is tied to City Hall, so they don't have that excuse for being so pathetic.
Do people on those boards that approve and appropriate money for this sort of thing just have no clue what's an "Internet"?
Anyway, this was kind of a belated rant after visiting their site from an ad on this site today. Why publicize anything with broken links, old news, non-updated events/calendar (their current event is Earth Fest from April - and the only event listed on the calendar is an event at some Starbucks 15 miles from downtown). Oh, and don't forget the "page in development, check back soon..." pages. Soon, as in what, never? calming down now...

Maybe they should have advertised on PegasusNews.com.

Is there an ointment for your D-Spot should it become inflamed?

I can only assume that this renewed interest in the D-Spot campaign came via the ads that they are running with us.
Well, you know how we roll-- The comments are open regardless of the lucre. So let me just make an effort to turn this convo in a more constructive direction: You just got handed the keys to the marketing and promotion of Downtown Dallas. What do you do. What do you do?...

I skip town, with a trunk full of liquor and a back-seat full of hookers.

Yeah Mike - that's pretty much why I dredged this old topic up.
I guess I'd start by hiring someone to update the site with current (current, as in not 3 months old) events. There was a (presumably) huge event in downtown last week - Taste of Dallas - which DowntownDallas.org is a sponsor. Interestingly enough, it isn't mentioned on their site.
So, of course what I would do if I had control over Downtowndallas.org is to just have a redirect to Pegnews, if I couldn't find anyone to maintain my own site. ;)
