LOL the guy was already on the ground and subdued...that cop is an ahole to say the least...what taze him because he took you on a chase and you are pissed? Excessive force is what that is called...serves him right.
While I agree that tazers are overused, I don't think you can conclude that he intended to taze the suspect from this video. He could have had it out prior to submission, then screwed up while trying to holster it.

Yeah, I think it's pretty hard to tell that he was actually attempting to use it on the suspect. What I do find odd is that none of the other cops seem too worried about him dropping to convulsions...like that wasn't the first time it's happened or something...lol
maybe now he'll think twice before using less lethal weapons, which i think are generally over used.

James, you are probably right. Perhaps the department should have a rule against allowing the special needs officer using a tazer.
