UnContest/Favoriting contest: FC Dallas vs. DC United on Sunday
Posted By Mike Orren in Square Pegs on September 22, 2008
Our friends (and advertisers) at FC Dallas have graced us with ten (10!) pair of tickets to this Sunday's game against DC United. It should be a beautiful day in Frisco and a chance for the team to improve on their recent draw at DC. If that's not enough enticement, the first 5,000 fans get a Duilio Davino wig (seriously).
We're giving away five pair via the UnContest, to PegNewsers who The Daily You says are really into FC Dallas. Congrats to daveg, neerdowell, ggh01, hillary and Myra. All you need you need to do is to respond to the email you're about to get, confirming your desire for the tickets and the name for the guestlist.
The rest of you, who really should be reading more FC Dallas on the site, can go to the event page for the game and click "Add to Favorites" (requires free / easy / painless registration and login). We'll draw at least five winners from among those who favorited on Thursday around noon. I say at least because we'll also throw tickets from the UnContest winners who haven't responded into the pot too.
Or, you could dispense with all this nonsense and buy a pair of tickets that come with a bonus hat...

Wig night is definitely the coolest promotion I've ever witnessed. Last year there was a Juan Toja wig night (the mullet captured in this artist's rendering used in a previous writeup), giving kids and old, bald guys alike the chance to have luscious soccer locks. I imagine the Davino wigs won't be quite as long, but could have more of that slicked back appeal.
