Favoriting contest: Win tickets to (and be in) Dixie’s Tupperware Party

Posted By Mike Orren in Square Pegs on April 29, 2009

We love giving out tickets to shows, but after a while it starts feeling cookie cutter: Hit the favorites button; we draw; you get on list. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

So I'm psyched to see that our friends (and advertisers) at the McKinney Performing Arts Center are taking it to the next level with a giveaway for the Friday, May 8 performance of Dixie's Tupperware Party: We have six tickets to give away, and, breaking with tradition, we're giving them all to one winner.

That's because we want you going to the show with friends. And that's because you six will get to be in the show. There's a part of the show that involves audience members becoming part of the show -- our winner and their clan will get to fill those roles.

You don't have to find a way to work Pegasus News in, but you do love us and we got you the tickets and got you on stage and all...

To enter, go to the event page here on PegNews and click the "Add to favorites" link (requires free / easy / painless registration and login). We'll draw one winner on Tuesday of next week. You'll need to respond quickly by email so that we can get you on the list and work out logistics.

Here's what you're getting into:

"Dixie, the fast-talking Tupperware lady, has packed up her catalogues, left her children in Alabama, and is making her way across the country in this hilarious, interactive show. Join Dixie as she throws a good ol' fashioned Tupperware Party filled with outrageous tales, free giveaways, and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware, all of which are for sale. See for yourself how Dixie became the number one Tupperware seller in the U.S. as she educates her guests on the many alternative uses she has discovered for her plastic products. The show is a real Tupperware party - but one like you've never experienced before."

You can also just cut to the chase and buy tickets.

Who hasn't heard of TUPPERWARE? I had not heard the word in more than 20 years! But to learn that it's a play/musical? It has to be a Hoot! Memories of Tupperware take me back to Kansas City's RichardsGebaur Air Force Base. We were all young wives of U.S. Air Force "Airmen" with only one stripe. So we sold Tupperware to make ends meet--every chance we got. I have pieces dating back 38 years!! Can't wait to go see Dixie's Tupperware!!
