Courtesy of content partner Dallas South (who got it from Trey Garrison and David Hopkins) comes the following Photoshopped picture from UT-Arlington's website:

This was obviously a lame attempt at showing diversity among the school's students. What's strange is that if you click on that page, you'll get one of 7-8 different pictures, the the majority of which are semi-natural shots with a wide variety of students. Why Photoshop one picture when you have plenty of others that show diversity?

LAME! - what crap!
Like you can't find a pic of a black gal outdoors to fake up!
On the other hand - how'd they find a square foot on campus without 2 Asian males in it?
I think we oughta make her the next Everywhere Girl

Every grant organization on American soil.
Personally I love variety and heterogeneity - but that's rarely how the word is really used.

What is it about randomly inserting a black person to portray diversity?

The sin isn't randomly spicing up a picture to meet standard "hip and inclusive" quotas, because frankly, our nuclear families just aren't quite demographically representative. (I swear, my wife wanted a girl and I wanted an Asian)
I think we all agree the egregious error is a disregard for matched lighting.

Agree on the lighting, Jason, but gotta disagree (obviously) on the first part. If you want a picture of a diverse family, take a picture of a diverse family.

No kidding. It's not like they aren't sitting right smack next you on either side or something.
I say that, but frankly, casting calls that indicate "cultural diversity" almost always turn out completely bleached.
What's with that?

On another note -- the kid in between the mom and "dad" appears to be in imminent danger of having his head squished. It may look like he's laughing, but he's really screaming in pain. :)

does this boil down to getting the "minority" dollar?

::minority dollar
Nope - it boils down to "as required by law."

More likely, they're too cheap to pay a photographer and models so use photoshop on stock photographs.

It just was not complete without our "Everywhere Else Girl"

Ya know - it just never gets old.
So Everywhere Else Girl's uncle gets the shaft by M$ for a Polish campaign.
Ironically, the posting on Slashdot turns into a race baiting fiasco in about 8 comments.
Is there a Godwin's Law corollary for "Racist Scumbag" like the "Hitler" one?
