Dexter marries his sister. In a manner of speaking.

Cue the chilling nails-on-chalkboard incidental music:
Dexter star Michael C. Hall and co-star Jennifer Carpenter, who plays his sister in the absorbing Showtime TV drama, have tied the knot. (Perhaps, to avoid possible misinterpretation, I'd better just say "gotten married.") In real life, I mean.
They've been dating, reports have it, for about a year and a half - to the consternation of the show's producers, who thought their off-set relationship might "confuse" viewers.
Well, it does. Sort of. If you substitute the words "creep out" for "confuse."

Does this have anything to do with Dallas?

1. Um - people in Dallas watch the show? Speaking purely for myself. (And since I live in Dallas, I qualify.)

2. People in Dallas have brothers and sisters (I hear tell), and thus can appreciate the creep factor. (I mean, some of them.)

3. Our coverage area takes in all of North Texas, including Fort Worth, Denton and points in between, not just Dallas - and somewhere within that bailiwick there might be a secretive serial killer working in a law enforcement lab and thinking about marrying the woman who plays his sister in the community theater production of (insert name of musical theater production which features prominent brother/sister pairing here). Let this be a lesson to him.

I think that sums it up, Clay. Thanks for asking.

I don't really get the big deal. Maybe I can separate people's roles on a TV show and their real-life existence?
The fact that the producers were worried about their viewers doesn't really give the viewers much credit in their eyes.

I think in Pavel's homeland, marrying your sister is mandatory..or at least preferred.

They're not brother and sister in real life. They're not getting married on the show. I'm gonna draw little Venn diagram.

Is this a 6-degress of seperation question?
