Not everyone has Obamania

Square Pegs

Published: January 20, 2009

Our pal Terry Heaton points to ironic flag placement from his neighbor, presumably somewhere in the mid-cities.

Discuss. Keep it clean.

I don't think that's technically ironic. Just moronic.

This is also a very pure and true statement, while the Confederate culture of 135 years ago was to also be a very Christian support system for the South, some things cant change...like my old Irish ancestors, they would bring up junk that I got rid of so I would not end up like them.....moronic and ignorant, and that was the last time I went to New York...it is difficult to forgive and to forget...let this day begin a new..until then..A/T, We are a free country when we release bad blood.

A studious reader sends the following:

Dear Mr. Orren:

I saw the short item on a Confederate flag flown at half-mast in the mid-cities. The Dallas-Fort Worth area has a neo-Confederate presence. That is how I got start on my research which was eventually published by the Univ. of Texas.

You can read about neo-Confederate hysteria over Obama at:

The Neo Stars and Bars is however in renovation, while with Jackson and Lee, these were the men who asked ,their favorite almighty, to let them win and they would realize the loss if it became.

This sense of High Christian moral value is one of Lee's important virtues as the Marble saint, while today, do the folks involved really know what they are doing and saying,

I love the South and belong, while we have to get along to become an even great presence that is now happening in the world..This the 21st century, and it is all over us, while old grudges should be resolved...if you really dig your culture and history...A/T, On Jackson and Lee.

But, yeah! After pouncing on xdx yesterday, I couldn't help but ask "So which of the old Dixie states actually fell to Obamania?" figuring a chance to abuse a flag picture for fun and profit.

OMG! The Mideast news people are really -- I mean really taking the neo-secessionist jokes bloody serious!! And then I found some of the bloody neo-secessionist sites.

These people are scary. Hell ALL these people are scary. xdx!!! I'm scared! Hold me!

Irony alert: How much you bet the (wild guess) middle-aged white guy whose home raises that flag (which as a 7th generation Texan descendent of those who fought on both sides feels obligated to note; the Confederate flag was not a Southern flag flown in a war to preserve slavery but that's another day's history lesson) half mast cannot even trace his American ancestors back far enough to have fought in the Civil War?

Rawlins, as an 8th generation Texan and descendent of one of the writers of the Texas Declaration of Independence, I wholeheartedly agree about the oversimplification of the reasons for secession.

I grew up in the events of this Southern Yankee city, And Dallas also represent the West and Hispanic ancestor and French folks who came here in the 1850's and were forced to serve in the South, while hate is a big sponge...it will suck up any kind of liguid or vibrations..

And the Southern reflection as of recent, will have some fried chicken boiling in grease...of ignornace and seperation.....it has to, then it will heal again...after the meat has been plucked off the bones of indiffrence, until then. A/T, Use hate as asphalt and drive over it..and drive on..
