This 1981 news report has been making its way around the echo chamber of mediati blogs the past week:

Standouts:

"...of the two-to-three-thousand computer owners in the [San Francisco] Bay area."

And the daily edition (all text) taking two hours to download at a $10 fee, meaning that the guy selling .20 hard copies was still on easy street...
