About a year ago, Allison V. Smith came by to visit with our staff. While providing some great photographic advice, she shattered my illusion that my less-than-great iPhone snapshots were the fault of the device rather than the operator.
Today, the NY Times Lens Blog picked up on her great iPhone photo work, proving once again that it's more talent than tools.

But Jesus you were using what we all assume to be your real name as opposed to a screen name. I would happily fill out the required information if my screen name would still appear with my comments. I keep hoping that my incessant whining will eventually just wear Mike out and verified people can keep their super cool screen names like abnormalus or DogMa or LoLoAloha instead of something extra lame like...Oh, I don’t know...Scott Doyle or the like.
