Whither the traffic?

I've become newly sensitized to local traffic because our new HQ is just further enough away from my home that the freeways (30, 75, LBJ) are a viable consideration. And I took an early morning detour down 35 today to make sure our mechanic's kids can still afford private school.
All three days this week, and at both ends of rush hour, traffic has been amazingly light. What gives? Is this a trend? Are that many people out of work and at home watching Judge Judy?
Inquiring minds want to know.

there's also a swarm of spring breaks going in and out, but I've noticed a steep decline in traffic as well since the start of February.
I wonder who keeps stats on such things

lol, just asked Miko about this while in their office. I drove west on LBJ yesterday morning at 8 and it went swimmingly. I was scared something catastrophic happened that I knew nothing about.
