Either Briefing is going gangbusters, or they’re grasping at straws

The Dallas Morning News' free Briefing product was touted as a way of reaching "200,000 upscale households." My experience with it has been largely theoretical, as I live in an East Dallas neighborhood where pizza delivery and UPS fear to tread. We're the last line of single-family before the infamous "Two-points" crimezone.
So I miss out on the Advocate; People (when they covered Lakewood); and, until today, Briefing.
I had an early warning, as one of our sales reps, Tasha, lives on the other side of Ferguson in a gated community with a nice name and started receiving Briefing earlier this week.
But this morning, in a neighborhood with a median household income of $34k and 16% below poverty level, there was a Briefing waiting for me in my driveway.
Not sure whether it's going so well that they're widening the demographic or that the 200,000 elites asked for it to go away and so it is trickling down. Also not sure how many of the original demographic were Kohls shoppers that could have made use of the two copies of that store's insert I got in the paper.
At any rate, I guess I'm now "upscale!" My wife will be so pleased. And surprised.

it started hitting lawns in east plano this week as well, which represents a different though similar flavor of dregs

I started getting it last fall. It was just what I wanted--daily litter to clear off my lawn. I went through the cumbersome process of "opting out" and it stopped after a week or so. They recently started showing up again, so I had to "opt out" in stronger terms.
Subscription newspapers aren't litter, since they're solicited by a resident. But is it legal for the DMN to abandon refuse on private property when the property owners *haven't* requested it? I'm guessing there are some municipal ordinances that would apply. Next time I find a soggy wad of DMN briefs on my lawn, I may have to research that.
