DFW Blues legacy

Posted By Alan Cohen in Soundcheck on April 10, 2006

Last week, we had the pleasure of inviting blues legend Ernie Johnson into the TexasGigs studio for a podcast. I love that we have such a rich blues legacy in Dallas. I'm hoping that we can continue to bring in artists like Ernie to talk with us. For me, its a big priority. With the House Of Blues coming soon, this is the perfect time to really start tracing the history of the blues in DFW. Lets celebrate the legends we have here while they are still alive and making music.

Thanks Alan! I've learned a lot about the local Blues scene since you've been running these interviews. Great work!

Yes, add my vote. Please keep up the blues stuff. It's a massive part of the true Texas legacy and it's basically ignored.
