Robert Johnson Sessions

Posted By Alan Cohen in Soundcheck on August 2, 2006

Most of you probably already know that the final Robert Johnson recordings took place here in Dallas in a warehouse at 608 Park Avenue. About a year ago, Eric Clapton came to Dallas to record a tribute to Robert in that same warehouse. Here are a couple of videos of Clapton from those 608 Park Avenue sessions. Yes, Clapton is still a god...and in these videos, he is in his element.

Actually, it's 508 Park Avenue, not 608, and Clapton recorded there in June 2004, just before his big Crossroads music festival at Fair Park.
