If you watch the NIRVANA video (LIVE TONIGHT SOLD OUT!!) The way the footage is shown... It looks like Cobain is being victimized... but that's pretty fked up of him... I STILL LOVE NIRVANA!!!

Nice video! I like the way Kurt fought back with his guitar.

I was at the show. The bouncers' name is Turner. Kurt smashed the monitor board with his guitar then he clocked Turner upside the head! That boy deserved an ass-whO0pin'!

Yes Dada is right, Turner Van Blarcum provided the much needed ass kicking. The video was shot by Brad Featherstone. This footage was also used repeatedly (and to the beat) in the 'I Hate Work' video by Turners band Pumpin Ethel, much to Courtney Love's objection.

In my opinion that doesn't make Turner look like nothin' but a puss.

You should watch what you print. The video has a blurb that says Kurt drank "an entire bottle of cough syrup" but how would any of you know that unless you were there?

Clearly, you weren't. You also state that after he drank the entire bottle of syrup, he could barely walk, much less stand.

YET, HE STANDS THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO AND SMASHES A MIX BOARD AND EVEN KICKS AT SOMEONE! (a far cry from not being able to stand or walk). THEN HE EVEN STAGE DIVES!

Your credibility is doubtful. Can you say "lawsuit"? I can't believe anything printed since you clearly let something this OBVIOUS pass you by.

Stop trying to capitalize off of a dead rock star who is more successful than you can ever dream of.

And - GET YOUR LIES STRAIGHT!

Um, Kurt, perhaps you'd be better to direct your ire at the producer of the video. This is just a YouTube that Alan blogged over a month ago because it was of local interest. (It happened here.)

And if you'd read above, you'll see that several of our users WERE there. Perhaps they can address the issues you bring up.

"kurt," you seem to be taking this kinda personally. From your name I'm wondering, are you one of those special kinda people who try to live vicariously through the memory of their hero...in this case Kurt Cobain. Or is your name really "kurt." Just curious.

Redefining the Disfranchised: The Political Art of Nina Allender As we continue to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, there's a prime opportunity to view influential art from the era. Nina Evans Allender drew political cartoons for The Suffragist from 1914 into the 1920s, transforming stereotypical views of who a suffragist was. Over the years, Allender contributed more than 250 political cartoons to the movement, a number of which are on display at the Women's Museum at Fair Park. More info
