Sundays have given me a whole new reason to shut off the boob tube and get out in the music world.
You gotta check out the Live and Local Show with Chaz at the Curtain Club every Sunday night. From 7-9 PM Chaz does the show live on TexasRadio1 with live interviews and loads of fun! Last Sunday was a blast! I highly recommend this event!
Every other Sunday, the Barley House hosts The East Dallas Acoustic All-Stars with John Garrett / Chris Bruns / Doug Burr w/members from Sorta / Deadman / I Love Math / Deathray Davies / Vibrolux / Sparrows and many more special guests!
Sunday, February 29th was a one of the best nights in music I've seen/heard in a looooong time! Rock star greatness filled the air at Barley House on Sunday. I mean take a gander at that line-up! The cream of the crop was out in full force!
I got to party with my favorite folks, Amy Lubinski, Jenn Nabb, Trey Carmichael, Barney, Reagan Judd, Deck Sachse, Doug Burr, Carter Albrecht, Angeel, Kourtny, John Garrett, Chris Bruns, Danny Balis, Trey Johnson, Todd Pertll and more!
Juicy tidbits overheard:
*John Garrett is in the studio recording his first solo project!
*Jenn Nabb has put together a full band, Fulsome, including Kelly Upshaw as drummer extraordinaire! Kelly was drummer-dude for The Lonelies back in the day. I can't WAIT to see him again, as well as hear what the oh-so-talented Jenn Nabb has put together!
*Reagan Judd is putting the finishing touches on a project that'll revolutionize the music scene!
*Deck Sachse is one cool dude and I can't wait to see him perform live at the Elbow Room on March 24th when he opens for Doug Burr & Todd Pertll.
*Somebody might be working on the new Backstreet Boys album (teeheehee...I might as well admit it. I'm a huge, squealing, fainting, Backstreet Boys fan...so my secret's out...)
*Chris Bruns is freaking amazing solo, what a voice on that dude! It's quite a switch from his kick-ass rock band Meathammer!
*Barney gets hotter every time I see him.
*Rob Stave put in a 3-second appearance, so no hugs for me:-(
You've GOT to check out the show on Sunday, March 14th, it's so worth the hangover!
