There's been a lot of controversy about the Dallas Music Fest, both here at TexasGigs.com and beyond. However, I'm going to support this deal until they do something to make me change my mind. I know a few bands that have been invited to perform and they are great ones. So I say we all think positively and support this Festival. The sponsors are upstanding businesses, some of whom I've dealt with and found great success....here's the latest update...
The Dallas Music Festival have announced unbelievable panelists! Due to an extremely high volume of calls and email requesting an extension; the DMF have extended their submission deadline until the end of the week due to high demand! Check out this list of Panelists! Press and Publicity Panel Panelists will be discussing the do’s and don’t to getting your band proper exposure in the press and public eye. All panelists have years of experience in promoting artists as well as deciding on what artists they will choose to cover in the media. Paul Gargano - Executive Editor, Metal Edge Maria Gonzales - Merch Rep for Bravado, former VP of publicity for RoadrunerRecords worked with Slipknot, Nickelback, Killswitch Engage, and many more. Sage Robinson - VP of publicity for DRT entertainment artist roster including Clutch, Fu Manchu, Jon Nelson - of StreetTeam.net promoted well over 100 bands including - SOiL, Pantera, Damageplan, Guns N Roses, Ozzy, Black Label Society, Disturbed, Static-X, and more. Libby Henry - Publicity Account Executive for MSO client roster includes: Van’s Warped Tour, Unkle, Aerosmith, Mark Farina, Velvet Revolver, and more.
