Local Boys Head Across the Pond!

Posted By Cindy Chaffin in TexasGigs - Cindy's Original Blog on February 8, 2006

Local bands/artists are being invited to perform at the International Pop Overthrow in Liverpool, England in May!

International Pop Overthrow (or IPO) is a huge Pop music festival held in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Nashville, San Francisco and Liverpool at the famous Cavern Club!

This year, local bands Millicent Friendly and Johnny Lloyd Rollins have been invited to perform! Makes a mama proud...mm-hmm...it sure do.

Cindy now blogs at The Fine Line.

Yikes! Uhhmm... MF and JLR do not go to Liverpool, until May 24th - 29th. MF plays the Nashville IPO on March 17th and that same week JLR will be playing SXSW. I am going to be a busy boy.

Not a problem. MF is going to the IPO Nashville in March, IPO Liverpool in May and IPO LA in July. Johnny has 2 dates for SXSW on the 15th and some other date. Then, he will be in England in May. I never thought I would be touring with 2 bands in England at the same time. Now, I am waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel...
