[DARYL] just put up a new message board to keep us hungry fans posted on what's what in the land of [DARYL] until their new website goes live. Also, you gotta take a look at some of the pictures Allison V. Smith shot at the Good Records Birthday Bash on Saturday! She's so freakin' great! Click here to view pics!

Mike Orren, says:

Y'know, this was one of my biggest rants back when I ran Texas Lawyer: Lawfirms would include funky symbols in their names in order to make them stand out, and I always thought we shouldn't accomodate them in our editorial content, because it was just a cheap marketing scam. I thought I had escaped that...

Don't get me wrong: [DARYL] was symbol-mongering when symbol-mongering wasn't cool, so I can respect that. But now it seems like every damn band has a *, %, @, what-have-you in their name. (I'm talking to you, Radiant and the cutoff.)

See, if everybody does it, it kinda' loses its impact. (Now if Radiant phonetically pronounces their name "ray-dee-ant-ass-ter-ick," I'll eat my words.)

For some reason I can tolerate symbols more than I can bAndS wHo MeSs with the fONt in the name.

Course, Radiant and The CutOff are both excellent bands...perhaps the * is a sign of greatness!

BUT, the question is, is it [DARYL] or [D.A.R.Y.L.]? Could be [Daryl] or maybe [daryl]? and brackets aren't googlable anyway.
