"This is a Stooges cover-band featuring members of The Me-Thinks, Goodwin/The Underground Railroad/Pablo and the Hemphill 7, The Great Tyrant/The Chimeneas, and Impulse of Will. So there. The idea kind of bubbled to the surface when we realized how many hip music dudes/dudettes of our acquaintance didn't really know any Stooges music (altho they all know the name). For shame. Respect to Dave Alexander and Zeke Zettner (R.I.P.). Stoogeaphilia loves Will and Marlin, and Big Joe's Pizza."

You will hate yourself to the point that you have no other choice but to commit yourself to a mental institute and will demand a straight-jacket so as to not hurt yourself because you will hate yourself that much if you miss this show tonight.

Stoogeaphilia tonight at the Black Dog Tavern at 10:30 PM - it's important to continue loving yourself, so go dammit - GO!

There's a Stooges coverband???!!! Wooooooo!!! For those who may not know: The stooges invented punk from 1969-1975. They're the whole idea behind the CBGB bands of the late seventies, The Sex Pistols, Mudhoney, The white Stripes, and anything else that kicks serious ass. Everybody, please tattoo "Search and Destroy" on your faces. Iggy deserves that much at least.

Hopefully some of the audio from last night turns out usable too. Some drunken idiot bumped into the recording mic halfway through and it ended up pointed at the bar. And contrary to rumor, the drunken idiot was not me :-)
