Syd Barrett passed away on July 7, 2006. As a founder of Pink Floyd, his music has touched countless musicians and music fans. The man was musically crazy/brilliant.

Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett performing Astronomy Domine live at Beat Club and an interview with Syd Barrett and Roger Waters.

A bit longer. Says the poster:
"Pretty interesting. Very Rare. If you're an early Floyd fan, you'll like this. Syd and the gang playing "Interstellar Overdrive" for like almost 20 mins~ dude... but it's cool, Syd's a bad ass. Then they jam somemore all early Pink Floyd style and in the midst of it all you catch clips of John Lennon at a club before he ever met Yoko, where aparently Yoko Ono was doing some artsy-fartsy stuff. Pretty cool. Beware people... lots of hippie nudity. Enjoy Floyd and Lennon fans alike."

I wonder if Bricks in the Wall will do anything special at their next gig?

R.I.P. 'syd' barrett. lest we forget the southern bluesmen whose names he combined to create a legend. somebody play 'bike'. that song is the epitome of barrett's style and grace.

Blair Lovern, says:
indeed, strident. I used to live in the same town back in North Carolina that Floyd Council did. I won't mention the name of that town because I married a Duke grad, but it rhymes with "grapple thrill."
